1976 Pontiac Trans Am

Run Day - Saturday June 1, 2024

This 1976 Pontiac is 1 of only 110 that were produced in 1976 with the following: The Y82 Special Edition package, 455ci powerplant, Super T-10 4-speed manual transmission, and Hurst Hatch removable T-tops. The vehicle is also equipped with the Safe-T-Track limited-slip rear axle. This awesome car comes from the vaunted Jack and Donna Steele Pontiac collection, and in the early 2005, they acquired this car and had it extensively restored by Southern Classic Trans Ams (a specialist restoration outfit located in Angier, North Carolina). On top of a full mechanical and cosmetic restoration of the highest degree, key improvements were made along the way. Notably, the engine was upgraded to output 325hp and 424 lb-ft of torque, the Quadrajet Carburetor was upsized to 850 CFM, and engine compression went up to 9.5:1. Furthermore, there are ported and polished heads, Comp Cams high-lift roller cam and valvetrain, FlowKooler high-volume water pump, Hayden high-capacity clutch fan, Hooker headers, and a phenomenal sounding Pypes 2 ½” exhaust system. A world-class Trans Am all around!
