This 1949 Chevrolet 3100 pickup was purchased new from Durand Service & Equipment Company in Durand, IL. on 4/21/49. It has been tastefully modernized in many ways, while still retaining a mostly stock appearance. It has a 235ci straight-6 fitted with an Offenhauser intake and valve cover which is mated to a 5-speed transmission. Additionally, it sports a Quick Fuel 4-barrel carburetor, Pentronix Flamethrower ignition coil, MSD distributor, a 12v conversion w/ new wiring harness, and an aluminum radiator. Custom hardwood bed slats and stake-bed side rails are added in back to complete the classic and stylish "country farm" truck look. On the interior, there are Omega Kustom gauges, Equus tach, modern stereo and turn-signal switch. Sale comes with the original dealer's invoice, original Chevrolet owner service policy and original Illinois title.
