1954 Buick Century Convertible
Run Day - Saturday May 31, 2025
One of the highlights of 1954 Buick Motor Division was a new "factory hot rod" called the Century that featured the biggest Buick V8 stuffed into the lightest Buick Body. Buick advertising at the time said the Century was "deliberately built to deliver more horsepower per pound of weight and more horsepower per dollar than any American automobile in its price class." This spectacular example is a rare find indeed. Originally purchased in Denver CO. and meticulously maintained by a devoted Buick collector/body shop owner for generations, it was sold to a BCA collector in Indianapolis in 2016. Original in every way, including its 322 Fireball V8, Dynaflow transmission, and all other components. This solid western automobile underwent a professional repaint 20+ years ago in its factory original Lido Green and shows no signs of wear. (Always stored in a climate controlled environment). The chrome is flawless. It rides on 15" Kelsey Hayes wire wheels and BF Goodrich Silvertown tires in excellent condition. This Century sports its original leather interior, power windows, power steering, power seats and power antenna. The Haartz convertible top and boot are in flawless condition.
