1959 Pontiac Bonneville
Available here, a beautiful 1959 Pontiac Bonneville. This is an actual-mile example, with only 33,804 showing on the odometer. The factory-correct Sunset Glow exterior is a 1970's repaint, and has a handsome patina. The car seems to have been purchased new from Teter Motors in Elkins, West Virginia. It remained with the 2nd owner (and their family) for decades, and was finally acquired by the now-3rd owner in 2010. At that time, roughly $20,000 worth of restoration went into the car. A complete teardown and rebuild was performed on the original 389ci/300hp engine (heads refurbished), carburetor, and the Super Hydra-Matic transmission; complete overhaul on brake system (master cylinder), fuel system, cooling system, exhaust system (Jet Hot-coated ext. manifolds), electrical system (new power window kit), etc; rebuilt generator, starter, and water pump; new camshaft, lifters, gaskets, and a new oil pump. Additionally, the entire undercarriage was stripped down and redone, and the engine compartment was totally refurbished as well. On the interior, the headliner and seating are reported as original, while new NOS carpet was installed as well as a new padded dash. All of the receipts, along with the original owner's manual and booklets are included with the sale. A truly turn-key car!
