1949 Packard Super Eight Convertible
This 1949 Packard Super Deluxe Eight Victoria Convertible Coupe is 1 of 671 produced for '49. It is finished in a gorgeous Spruce Green paint with an impeccable tan leather interior and complimentary tan cloth convertible top. Believed to be an original California car, it was fully restored approximately 10 years ago and presents beautifully today. Powered by the correct 327ci L-head “straight-8” which is connected to the 3-speed manual transmission. The characteristic brightwork–so vital to the styling of this premium convertible–is in exceptional condition and its iconic Cormorant mascot is perched proudly on the hood. The car features power windows, a power top, heater/defroster, AM radio and a 2-way power bench seat–quite luxe in 1949! Properly kept in a museum-quality, climate-controlled garage after its restoration, this '49 has been treated to a recent mechanical refresh; including, suspension, brakes and new radial tires. Following this service regimen, even the radio and power antenna function properly. A rare model finished in delightful colors, this Packard is sure to make a splash at countless shows or events with either of the two nationally recognized marque clubs—and it will make an ideal partner on long cruises down the great American highways for which it was designed.
