It is powered by its numbers-matching LX code 425ci Super Wildcat 360HP 465 ft/lbs of torque V8 engine mated to its original BS Code Automatic transmission with its variable pitch torque converter. Buick Gran Sports were factory equipped with dual-quad Carter Carburetors, cast aluminum valve covers, a chrome dual-snorkel air cleaner, posi–traction rear differential and an A9 body. Additional performance features are oversize 2.25” dual exhaust, hydraulic cam, A9 handling package which includes a short0ration 15.1 steering options with heavy duty shocks, slightly lowered factory sport stance and stiffer bushings for the Panhard bar.
