1970 Dodge Challenger

This extremely rare MoPar car hails from California originally, and remained there until 2005. It is being offered from a well-known collection. In 1970, Dodge entered the popular "pony car market" with their new Challenger. It was offered in many models from the basic low-line Deputy with the slant six engine all the way through to the RT/SE with the massive 426 Hemi. One of the lesser known packages to be offered that year was the APP 340 Challenger. When you ordered the "A66" package, you received a Challenger that struck the perfect balance of performance and handling. It included the highly-underrated, 340ci High-Performance small-block engine. This trim level features a power bulge hood and quad exhaust valance from the R/T, quick-ratio steering, disc brakes, heavy-duty suspension with front and rear anti-sway bars, 15x7 inch Rally wheels and Rally instrumentation with tachometer. The "A66" package was not highly advertised, and therefore, very few examples were sold. This example is one of the best to be found anywhere. It was a rust-free car with all original sheet metal before the complete restoration was performed. It is a complete, numbers-matching example too! Optional equipment includes power steering, power brakes, factory air conditioning, 727 TorqueFlite transmission, console with slapstick shifter, rear window defroster and body side molding. This exceptional Challenger is refinished in its original and unique combination of Burnt Orange Metallic with matching Burnt Orange interior. Don't miss out on this rare MoPar; it looks great, drives like a dream and sounds great! Purchase includes the original Broadcast Sheet, additional built sheet, and other documentation.
